Aleksandar Trifunović, known as “kassad,” is a 33-year-old Serbian CS:GO coach who had been working for 100 Thieves since October 2019. Previously, he had been working with the same roster at Renegades.

100 Thieves has made a new announcement on the official Twitter account and farewell to their coach, kassad. Currently, they are looking for a new coach and one of the best viable choices is former Evil Geniuses coach Chet “ImAPet” Singh.

Kassad stated that he was unhappy about the team’s progress and admitted that they couldn’t improve since the start of the year. Also, he stated that their approach to the mistakes have changed and explained why he left the team.

Here is the statement from 100 Thieves:

“After extensive discussions, we’ve mutually agreed to part ways with our CS:GO Head Coach, Kassad. We appreciate his work with the squad over the past few years and wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.”

Kassad said:

“I know this came as a surprise to everyone, but the truth is that we have been drifting apart in more ways than one for a while now.I was personally generally unhappy with our progress and stagnation on the same level ever since the start of the last year.

The biggest difference in opinions was about how to approach and more importantly how to solve the problems that we had for a while now.”

He added:

“There is no “bad blood” between us, it’s just towards the end our visions for the future of the team and how to reach the next level didn’t align, sometimes that happens and it’s perfectly alright. It sucks in some ways, but it is the best way to move forward.”
