Spencer Martin, known as “Hiko,” is a 30-year-old former CS:GO player who had played for teams like Team Liquid, Cloud9, Rogue, and more. Since June 2020, he has been playing Valorant for 100 Thieves.

Hiko spoke in a recent interview with Dexerto during the conversation about the First Strike tournament and explained why the North American meta is much better than the European competitive meta.

Hiko mentioned that European teams are using the agents that Hiko doesn’t think are really viable right now, such as Viper, Sage, and Brimstone, and stated that North American meta is more advanced than the European one because of that.

Here is what Hiko said:

“EU plays agents that I don’t think are really good. I don’t agree with Brimstone; I think Brimstone in almost every way is worse than Omen. I don’t believe in Sage… And a lot of teams are running Viper, which I think Viper is terrible…

I don’t agree with their main staples of their meta, but I would have to play against a good European team to see how they actually use their abilities, but to me, I just think that NA meta is already more advanced.”
