Astralis CS:GO Coach Zonic About The Departure Of es3tag: “I Wanted To Keep Him Onboard”

Danny Sørensen, known as “Zonic,” is a 34-year-old Danish former Counter-Strike player and currently a CS:GO coach who has been working for Astralis since January 2016.
Yesterday, Astralis made a new announcement about their roster and confirmed the sale of Patrick “es3tag” Hansen to Cloud9. While Cloud9 was completing its roster, the Danish scene was shocked after this decision by the organization.
Zonic took to his official Twitter account to share a new post and revealed his thoughts about this roster changes while clearing the air about the situation.
In the tweet, Zonic mentioned that he had been receiving lots of messages about if he involved in es3tag’s transfer and revealed that he didn’t take a part in this decision. In fact, he wanted es3tag to stay in the team but the decision was made by the both organization and the player.
Here is what Zonic said:
“Found out a couple of days ago. Being out for several months and then coming back in the fashion he did is nothing but amazing. es3tag is one of those guys who deserves everything coming to him & Cloud9 will sign one of the most dedicated and hard working players we have.
I have received a lot of messages about my involvement in this transfer. I wanted to keep Patrick onboard, but as in any other sport, there are other areas of the game besides the sports side of things that are out of my hands.
Patrick deserves to play every game he wants and I understand his decision completely so I encourage all astralis fans to support him for this final run! I sincerely hope I get to work with this man again. Best of luck, Patrick ❤️”
