Astralis’ Dupreeh Stands With “Lucky” Following The Huge Criticism On Social Media

Peter Rothmann Rasmussen, known as “Dupreeh,” is a 28-year-old Danish CS:GO player who had played for teams like Team SoloMid, Team Dignitas, and more. Since 2016, he has been playing for Astralis.

Astralis dominated the Counter-Strike scene for over two years, winning almost every big tournament without encountering any problem. However, they have been struggling in the server for the last fifteen months.

Furthermore, the Danish side was even more shocked after their superstar Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz decided to leave the roster in April 2021, and they agreed with young talent Philip “Lucky” Ewald to replace him.

Unfortunately for Astralis, Lucky has been only holding a 1.01 rating in the last three months where dev1ce was over a 1.10 rating when he was in Astralis. Because of the lack of performance compared to dev1ce, Lucky received huge criticism on social media by the fans.

After Astralis got smashed by Team Vitality at BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2021 without getting any single map point, people tried to mock Lucky for his performance, even though he wasn’t at the bottom of the scoreboard.

Following these comments about the young AWP player, Dupreeh stepped up on Twitter and showed his support for his teammate. As dupreeh mentioned that Lucky is only an 18-year-old player, he also touched upon the fact that he got big shoes to fill right now, and he is doing his best.

Dupreeh on bad comments about Lucky:

Bothers me people mock on Lucky – the guys 18, and doing his absolute best to fill in some massive shoes in a very short time span. Give the guy some time and mind your own business, or at least refrain from commenting, if you have nothing positive to say. Good evening.”
