Lukas Egholm Rossander, known as “Gla1ve,” is a 26-year-old Danish CS:GO player who is considered one of the best in-game leaders in the game. Since October 2016, he has been playing for Astralis.

Back in May 2020, Gla1ve took a break from Counter-Strike after experiencing burnout problems along with his teammate Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth. In September 2020, he returned back to the active roster.

Yesterday, Astralis faced Evil Geniuses at BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2021, but Gla1ve wasn’t on the server. Instead, he was sitting along with their coach, Zonic. Therefore, the community wondered if Gla1ve took a break or not.

After a short period, Astralis revealed why Gla1ve wasn’t playing for Astralis right now via Twitter and stated that Gla1ve is expecting a child right now, which is the main reason why he is not in the server with the team.

As the Danish organization announced, Gla1ve will be helping Zonic during this period, just to analyze the games and suggest strategies for the team. Therefore, he won’t be playing in any matches of BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2021.

Astralis announced the roster change:

Just a reminder that Gla1ve is not on leave. He is there with the team throughout BLAST Premier to assist zonic with analysis.”

One of the fans asked:

“This is suspicious… Is Gla1ve 4 year contract with Astralis as head coach?”

Astralis replied:

“Retweeting for visibility. No, Gla1ve is signed as a player but due to the baby coming any second now, he and the team thought it would be best for him to sit this one out.”
