Video game piracy is becoming a bigger problem over the years. For this reason, two different versions of Rage 2 was released on May 14th. There was Denuvo on the Steam version, however, it wasn’t available in the game running through Bethesda Launcher. Unfortunately, due to most DRM isn’t very effective many people can download games under the table.

The most noticeable thing on Rage 2‘s Steam page is the PC Hotfix [Denuvo DRM Removed] section on the latest updates. This means that the company used the opportunity to generate a bit of positive PR.

Tests between Steam and Bethesda versions show Denuvo‘s effect. Because the loading time of the Bethesda version takes 1 second, while the Steam version takes about 5 seconds. But also the number of exe files on Steam is almost 10 times bigger than that of Bethesda version.

If you want to play Rage 2 you can buy on or Steam. It’s also available for Xbox One and PS4.

“RAGE 2 brings together two studio powerhouses – Avalanche Studios, masters of open world insanity, and id Software, creators of the first-person shooter – to deliver a carnival of carnage where you can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything.”
