Nils Gruhne, known as “k1to,” is a 22-year-old German CS:GO player who has been playing under BIG Clan jersey since January 2020, and they have been on top of the leaderboard in the same year.

During a recent interview with, k1to talked about one of the biggest problems of the current CS:GO esports scene, which is having a busy schedule, and explained how it is affecting the players.

In the conversation, k1to mentioned that he didn’t mind playing lots of matches last year because they were winning most of them. But when they started to lose and getting eliminated from the tournaments, it has been getting rough to play in the next one.

The problem is so huge right now that most of the players such as Aleksi “allu” Jalli, Alex “ALEX” McMeekin, and Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander decided to take a break to protect their mental health.

Not only because of you need to play so many official matches, but also it makes you unable to practice to fix your mistakes. This is why some of the teams struggles to come back after dropping from top of the leaderboard such as BIG Clan.

k1to said:

“Last year I wanted to play everything because I did not see the bad side of it. We were only winning so it was fun. But when you lose, and you lose rough games, and you keep going out of the group stage, it gets tough playing tournament after tournament, because you do not have time to fix your mistakes. It is exhausting, but we are professionals and we need to live with it.”

Further in the conversation, Christian Lenz, who is the Chief Gaming Officer at BIG, also explained why they are attending even for the small tournaments and said that they need to collect points for the different tournament organizers.
