After having one of the worst seasons in their history at LEC in the last split, LEC Spring 2021, Fnatic was trying to figure out how they could come back from the disaster. At first, Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau and Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek didn’t extended their contracts.

Then, Adam “Adam” Maanane was rumored to join the squad. Then, it revealed that Bwipo would be the starting jungler of Fnatic in the next split. However, the rumors didn’t come true until yesterday.

Fnatic announced the addition of Adam into the top lane. Also, Adam spoke in an interview with LEC host Laure Valee and leaked that Bwipo will be staying in the Fnatic, and he has been working on his jungle role. But, there wasn’t any official announcement from Fnatic.

Today, the legendary organization announced that Bwipo will be their starting jungler for LEC Summer 2021, and Fnatic also announced the departure of their former jungle player Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek.

“I wouldn’t have committed to such a change if the whole team wasn’t behind the decision,” Bwipo said about his transition. “I spoke with everyone individually, and all staff and players involved agreed that we could – and will make it work.”

During an interview with the press, Bwipo also talked about his progression in jungle. “I think, in general, playing League Of Legends is something that’s pretty universal I don’t think playing one specific role takes so much more effort than another at least on a competitive level I think,” Bwipo said.

“All competitive players should have some idea, if not be capable of playing every other role at a very high level,” Bwipo continues about his level on the jungle. “I believe that with the time I was given in the offseason, I would be able to reach a high enough level in the jungle that I could be one of the best if not the best jungler.”

Fnatic is now:

  • Adam “Adam” Maanane (top)
  • Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau (jungle)
  • Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer (mid)
  • Elias “Upset” Lipp (bot)
  • Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov (support)
