Kim Chang-dong, known as “Canna,” is a 21-year-old South Korean League Of Legends player who has been playing under T1 jersey for over one and a half years. Since then, he has been performing well on the top lane.

T1 played their debut match at the League Of Legends World Championship against Detonation FocusMe in Group B and won, but the most surprising factor was first-picking Yuumi in the pick & ban phase.

In the post-match interview, Canna talked about their Yuumi pick and explained why they prioritized playing with her.

While Canna was saying that Yuumi has a really high late-game potential compared to the other support champions, he also touched upon the recent buffs that Moonstone Renewer received.

Furthermore, the talented top laner pointed out that the meta is more reliant on the high movement speed junglers right now, which Yuumi can also provide as well. Also, Canna revealed that they have been practicing with Yuumi a lot during the scrims.

Canna reflected on their decision to play with Yuumi:

“Yuumi, at least in my opinion, she has a very high late-game potential. Also, her support item also recently got buffed, and the state of the meta is that we are seeing champions with high move speed at jungle and more. So, she’s good.”

When asked about the Talon pick into Yuumi:

“We have been practising with Yuumi a lot. We’ve just been researching a lot of different champions in general. It was more like, Talon was left open, so we picked him. But we have many more champions other than Talon in our pocket.”
