The new generation of consoles will meet with players soon, and Capcom is already prepared for next-generation consoles. According to Capcom, RE Engine, used in Resident Evil games, is ready for next-generation consoles.

Capcom management responded with the following:

“The games we developed using the RE Engine during this current hardware generation have received critical acclaim, and from the early stages of building this engine, we kept the ability to augment it for next-generation development in mind; as such, we view the RE Engine as one of our strengths that will contribute to next-generation game creation.”

Microsoft is expected to announce its next-generation console at E3 2019, which will take place in June. Sony isn’t going to be at E3, but the company has already shared the first details about PS5.
