Rasmus Borregaard Winther, known as “Caps,” is a 21-year-old Danish League Of Legends player that has been playing for G2 Esports since November 2018. Also, he is considered as one of the best and smart mid-laners in the world.

Caps has been a shining star for the G2 Esports as he helps the European organization to win over five trophies in both LEC and Mid-Season Invitational tournaments. In 2019, they even reached the Worlds finals, losing against Fun PlusPhoenix.

After the 2020 season ends, G2 Esports started to struggle in both Worlds and the 2021 LEC season. In both Spring and Summer seasons, G2 Esports couldn’t reach the finals since the Caps’ addition.

Following these results, G2 Esports also couldn’t qualify for the upcoming League Of Legends World Championship for the first time in six years. Therefore, the community has been expecting to see a roster change for the 2022 season.

However, this change wouldn’t be on the mid lane as Caps signed a one-year extension with G2 Esports, according to Riot Games’ Global Contract Database. Before gets updated, Caps’ contract was ending in late 2022.

Now, G2 Esports informed Riot Games that they signed an extension with Caps, and they updated the database as we can see his contract ending on November 20, 2023, along with their ADC player Rekkles.

The rest of the G2 Esports players’ contracts are going to end through next year according to the database, who are top-laner Martin “Wunder” Hansen, jungler Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski, and support player Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle.
