Cloud9 Parts Ways With CS:GO Coach Kassad – Here Is The Reason Behind It

Aleksandar Trifunović, known as “Kassad,” is a 34-year-old Serbian CS:GO coach who had been working for Cloud9 since September 2020. Before that, he was coaching for 100 Thieves and Renegades.
Before building up a new roster with the addition of HenryG as a new general manager, HenryG agreed with Kassad to become a coach and build the roster for the organization. However, they parted ways with Kassad after three months.
Both Kassad and Cloud9 announced on their official Twitter account that they have come to a mutual agreement about the departure of Kassad and the reason behind this decision was pretty acceptable.
According to HenryG’s statement and Kassad himself, Kassad’s point of view about the Counter-Strike is way more different than the in-game leader of the roster, ALEX, and that’s why the decision has been made before the controversy gets longer.
Here is what HenryG said:
“Today, we say goodbye to CS:GO Head Coach, Kassad.
No one is or was at fault and there is absolutely no bad-blood between him, the org or players. It simply felt like there was somewhat of a stylistic clash between the IGL (Alex) and Kassad’s game, leading to a few too many compromises from a strategic point of view.
With the player break here, I’ve decided that it was in everyone’s best interest to move in a different direction and prepare for the next season. Thanks to Kassad for laying the foundations for the team and we wish you all the best…”
Kassad also said:
“Sad but true, the whole vision of the game was just way too different from the start.
Thank you Cloud9 and HenryG for the opprotunity and of course i wish the team all the best. Will post about future plans in a few days. Happy holidays and stay safe.”
