Jakob Rask Hansen, known as “JUGi,” is a 24-year-old Danish CS:GO player who had played for teams like Tricked Esports, Heroic, Optic Gaming, and North back in the days. Last year, he tried out his chance in Astralis, but didn’t work out.

Following the departure from Astralis, the Danish AWPer decided to join Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen’s new project, South, which got disbanded few weeks after the foundation. Since then, JUGi has been looking for a new home.

Yesterday, the experienced player announced on his official Twitter account that he will be retiring from the Counter-Strike scene and will be competing in the Valorant esports scene from now.

While JUGi was thanking every single people who helped and supported him during his time in CS:GO and thanking all the organizations for believing in him, he also pointed out that it is time to start a new page on a different game.

Furthermore, the European player mentioned that he is open to offers from all around the world and reminded that he has been working so hard to show the best version of himself on the server.

JUGi announced his transition:

What a journey CS:GO has given me, friendships, travel experiences and a lot more! I’m happy I got the chance to attend to the Major twice. But it’s time to print my name in another game somehow! See you soon Valorant!

Thanks to all my amazing teammates throughout the past 5-6 years, it’s been one hell of a ride with a lot of ups and downs! And a huge thanks to all the orgs who believed in me! With that said, I’ve been grinding a lot recently and I’m open for all offers around the world.”
