Markus Kjærbye, known as “Kjaerbye,” is a 22-year-old Danish CS:GO player who has been playing for North since February 2018. Previously, he was playing for Astralis since May 2016.

About two months ago, Kjaerbye shared a post on his official Twitter account and stated that he will take a break from the game due to the abdominal pains, breathing problems and chest cramps.

North made a new statement on the official website and announced the departure of Kjaerbye due to health problems.

Furthermore, Kjaerbye stated that he needs more time and break to play CS right now, even though he was happy to play under North jersey. Because of these health and motivation problems of Kjaerbye, he parts ways with North.

Here is what Kjaerbye said earlier:

“Hey guys. Over the last couple of months, I have experienced abdominal pains, breathing problems and chest cramps, in such manner, that I have had problems playing the game I love on the highest level.

I have come to a point, where I need to listen to my body and give it time to recover fully. I don’t know when I will be back on the server but, I do know that I need a break. I want to thank my family, fans, and the North team and management for support and understanding.”

Here is the official statement from Kjaerbye:

“I’ve been really happy at North, but it has also been a bumpy road with many changes, and I feel that this break has made me see more clearly. Currently, I still need some time, but I know I’m far from done with CS. This is what I know, and I look forward to my next adventure.”
