Heo Su, known as “Showmaker,” is a 21-year-old South Korean League Of Legends player who has been playing under DAMWON KIA for over four years. In his career, he earned over $280.000 from the events.

Showmaker is one of the key factors for DAMWON Gaming to qualify for the finals of the League Of Legends World Championship, which they will be facing against the Chinese organization, EDward Gaming.

The talented mid laner spoke in a recent interview with Korizon Esports’ Ashley Kang and talked about their performance, why the LCK teams are better compared to the rest of the world, and many more.

At Worlds, the Korean teams have dominated the other regions from the play-in stage to the playoffs. There were three LCK teams in the semifinals that shows how strong the Korean teams are right now.

In the conversation, Showmaker touched upon the fact that the teams and players are fundamentally better compared to the other regions from the macro gameplay to the laning phase.

Showmaker pointed out that he was even thinking about how strong the Korean league was even before the Worlds started and said that it is not only because of how good the LCK players are better in a specific part of the game but also how good they are in general.

Showmaker talked about the LCK teams at worlds:

“Like, fundamentally. The LCK teams, compared to the teams from other regions… Is much better compared to other regions, from lane phase to macro, stuff like that.

I was already thinking, even before we came to worlds, that LCK looks stronger than other regions. I did consider LCK teams to be the strongest out of teams [competing] in worlds.

For sure, a large part of this game snowballs off from the lane phase, and the LCK does seem to have a solid lane phase… But really, it’s less about the LCK teams being better in a specific part of the game…

I just think the LCK players are playing better, overall. So many good LCK players these days, yeah.”
