Denis Howell, known as “Denis,” is a 26-year-old German CS:GO player who had been playing for Sprout since September 2019. Prior playing under BIG Clan jersey for four months, he was also playing for Sprout.

After struggling to perform in the tournaments, Sprout revamp the roster last year by signing Tomáš “oskar” Šťastný and Paweł “dycha” Dycha. However, oskar left the team in short period and Michał “snatchie” Rudzki joined.

Unfortunately, snatchie also left the roster at the end of 2020, and Sprout built a full-German team for 2021. Even though they created a German roster, the team couldn’t perform even in six months.

Therefore, the organization decided to part ways with their veteran and long-time player Denis during the player break and announced it on social media. Also, they didn’t reveal who will be the fifth player on the roster.

“Unfortunately my time with Sprout ends today after almost 4 years,” Denis said. “Thank you for the longest journey in my career yet. All the best. At the moment my future is uncertain, so if you are interested in working with me, you can contact me here. Thank you for the support.”

Sprout manager Daniel Paulus also talked about Denis’ departure. “After many years spent together, we say goodbye to Denis. In the past years, we have achieved a lot together, and we are grateful for his hard work,” he said. “But, it is time to break new ground and to develop further. We wish Denis only the best, as he was a shaping force for Sprout.”

Here is the official announcement from Sprout:

Goodbye old friend! It is with sadness that we announce: Denis is no longer part of our team. We are thankful for the years spent together and wish you nothing but truly the best. You will be missed and always hold a special place in our hearts! Safe travels!”
