Nicolai Hvilshøj Reedtz, known as “dev1ce,” is a 26-year-old Danish CS:GO player who has been representing Ninjas In Pyjamas for over six months. Previously, he was playing for Astralis since 2016.

Ninjas In Pyjamas managed to qualify for the Champions stage at PGL Major Stockholm 2021, but their story didn’t last long as they eliminated against G2 Esports. Before the match, dev1ce spoke in an interview with

In the conversation, the experienced AWP player revealed the biggest problem of the roster right now and mentioned that they really struggle to play against the CIS teams, who are known for their aggressive playstyle.

While dev1ce was saying that the hardest thing about facing the CIS teams is their playstyle and how they do things really different compared to the other regions and teams in the server.

Furthermore, dev1ce also shared his opinion about facing the best team in the world, Natus Vincere, and said that he is really impressed by the performance of young talent, Valerii “b1t” Vakhovskyi.

dev1ce on the biggest struggle of NiP:

“I think our biggest problem right now is playing CIS teams. We’re having a tough time doing that. We’re obviously looking at that, or the team in the background are doing that while we try to get the performance straight on the server.

We had a 14 match winning streak going into the first game against NAVI, but NAVI is just a different breed. I’m super impressed by B1T, amazing as well.

We had two chances to qualify for free and we didn’t manage to do that, and today the pressure was really, really on, and we managed to pull it off, but for us the hardest thing is the CIS playstyle and in general how they do things differently. I think that is something we’re looking into.”

Later in the conversation, dev1ce also talked about their match against Copenhagen Flames and praised the talent of the roster. According to dev1ce, they deserved to be in the champions stage and showed his respect for the squad.
