In the first week of LCS Summer 2021, Dignitas had a great weekend by beating up Evil Geniuses and FlyQuest. However, they lost against 100 Thieves. Even though they had a great start for the split, the organization decided to make roster changes.

Dignitas announced that they decided to move their starting mid laner Max “Soligo” Soong, who was previously playing for 100 Thieves Academy, to the academy roster, and they promoted their 23-year-old academy mid laner David “Yusui” Bloomquist for the main roster.

While Dignitas’ director of Esports James Baker was saying that Soligo has been improving both statistically and individually, they also stated that swapping these players will enable both players to improve their growth, which is more valuable for the team in long run.

Dignitas will debut with this new roster on June 12 in the second week of LCS Summer 2021, which will be their hardest weekend in the season. They will face Team Liquid, Immortals, and Cloud9 throughout the weekend in order.

We should mention that this is the second surprising roster change in the LCS Summer 2021. Previously, Team Liquid shocked the community by benching their well-performing top laner Alphari and adding academy player Thomas “Jenkins” Tran.

Dignitas is now:

  • Aaron “FakeGod” Lee (top)
  • Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett (jungle)
  • David “Yusui” Bloomquist (mid)
  • Toàn “Neo” Trần (bot)
  • Zaqueri “aphromoo” Black (support)
