William Fant Sundin, known as “Draken,” is a 25-year-old Swedish former CS:GO player who had played for top-tier teams like Ninjas In Pyjamas, Fnatic, and many more. Since August 2020, he has been playing Valorant. Right now, he is representing Guild Esports.

Draken spoke in a recent interview with Upcomer’s Showstopper episode 12 and talked about his how good his current team, VCT qualifiers, as well as comparing the power of the most controversial gun in Valorant, the operator.

In the conversation, Draken was asked if he would rather play without the operator or play with it every time he affords it. As an answer, Draken firstly mentioned that it is a really hard question than everybody would think.

As Draken said, he would have picked the AWP if he was playing CS:GO, but the things are all different in Valorant. Additionally, he admitted that the operator is not as strong as the AWP right now.

Draken chooses to play without the operator all along because he thinks that there are lots of rounds where you need riffles instead of the operator, which shows how underpowered the gun is in current meta.

Draken when asked if he would choose to play operator only:

“That’s a hard one actually. In CS:GO, I could say I can only use the AWP obviously. But in Valorant I think the operator isn’t that good as the AWP. I wish I could say the operator but there’s too many rounds where you are going to need a riffle. So I’m going to have to say the riffle.”
