Jere Salo, known as “Sergej,” is an 18-year-old Finnish CS:GO player who had been playing under ENCE jersey for over two and a half years. Previously, he was playing for HAVU Gaming. In his career, he earned over $200.000 from the events.

ENCE made a new statement on their official website today and announced that they decided to bench Sergej after mutual agreement.

In the post, ENCE stated that Sergej didn’t have any motivation to pursue in the current CS:GO era and asked to be removed from the active roster. Furthermore, ENCE also revealed that he will fulfill his Finnish military service, starting in January.

While saying goodbye to one of their star players, ENCE also loaned 19-year-old SJ Gaming player Tuomas “SADDYX” Louhimaa for the upcoming DreamHack Masters Winter Europe event.

Here is the official statement from ENCE:

“After much consideration, Jere has come to a conclusion that he currently doesn’t have the necessary motivation to pursue forward in the intense world of professional Counter-Strike and has asked to be removed from the playing roster.

He has decided to fulfill his Finnish military service duties starting January, 2021 and therefore will not be a part of the active ENCE roster for the time being. Jere will remain contracted to ENCE and we are currently discussing the details for the duration of his military service…

ENCE has come to an agreement with SJ Gaming to loan 19-year-old Tuomas ‘SADDYX’ Louhimaa for the duration of the upcoming DreamHack Masters Winter Europe 2020.”
