Evil Geniuses Announces League Of Legends Roster Changes – Deftly Leaves, Danny Joins

Evil Geniuses is a North American organization that announced their departure from League Of Legends back in 2014 after competing for two years. Last year, they stepped into the scene once again showed some promising results.

However, they couldn’t improve themselves in the LCS and eliminated in the loser’s bracket two years in a row. Before entering the Summer Split, the organization wanted to add a fresh blood to the roster.

Yesterday, Evil Geniuses announced that they parted ways with 23-year-old player Matthew “Deftly” Chen who was promoted from the academy roster and signed their another academy player Kyle “Danny” Sakamaki as an AD Carry player.

Who Is The New ADC Player Of Evil Geniuses

Kyle “Danny” Sakamaki is a 17-year-old American/Japanese AD Carry player who has been playing for Evil Geniuses Prodigies since December 2020. Before that, he had played for Zenith Esports for four months.

In the LCS Proving Grounds Spring 2021, Evil Geniuses Prodigies managed to beat Immortals Academy and Dignitas Academy roster with 2-1 scores, and but lost against No Org in the semifinals.

In the losers’ bracket, Danny and his colleagues lost against 100 Thieves Academy and said goodbye to the tournament. In the whole tournament, Danny showed great numbers with large champion pool, such as Varus, Samira, Kalista, Ashe, and Ezreal.

Here is the official announcement from Evil Geniuses:

“Climbing the ranks at an accelerated pace, Danny will be our first player promoted from Prodigies to the LCS as our starting ADC.”
