Two days ago, North American organization Evil Geniuses surprised the whole community by announcing roster changes on the League Of Legends roster as the other LCS teams shocked with their decisions.

However, this change wasn’t as big as the other ones such as Cloud9 benching Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen, Dignitas’ decision on parting ways with Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett, Lucas “Santorin” Larsen’s break from Team Liquid.

The organization wanted to see the performance of  Juan “Contractz” Artruro Garcia in the LCS, who is the academy jungler of Evil Geniuses and considered as one of the best players in the academy league.

Contractz promoted from Cloud9 Challenger to Cloud9 in December 2016 to the main roster and left the organization after a year. Then, he spent two years with Golden Guardians but demoted to the academy roster.

After spending a split in the academy of Golden Guardians, Contractz is signed by 100 Thieves due to his superior performance, but couldn’t live up to the expectations in the LCS. At the start of 2021, he joined Evil Geniuses Academy.

Furthermore, they wanted to see him perform against one of the best teams in North America in the second match of week 4, Team SoloMid, and he played 6-0-12 with Diana that he become the MVP of the match with this performance.

After the match, Contractz was invited to the host desk among the talents to talk about his return to the LCS after a year, and he got so emotional while explaining how much he did work to prove himself.

Contractz said in the interview:

“I had like rough two years after I left Cloud9. Sorry… I went through the academy. I had a rough first split in the academy. But I was able to regroup and bounce back and really work on what I had to do as a player.”
