23-year-old American CS:GO coach Chet Singh, known as “ImAPet,” had been working for Evil Geniuses since September 2019. Before that, he was coaching for NRG Esports. Most recently, he led his team to win StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 8.

Yesterday, ImAPet shared a TwitLonger post on his official Twitter account and announced his departure from Evil Geniuses. He stated that the relationship with Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz and Tarik “tarik” Celik was horrendous, and this was one of the main reasons why he left.

Here is what ImAPet said:

“Today I announce my departure from Evil Geniuses. This is probably the first time in my professional career where I actually felt extreme depression, losing the people I call friends (cerq, vince, ethan), that I spent years with and had so many hardships and successes will not be easy to give up. I will forever miss you cerq, vince and ethan (also damian and jacob from previous lineups). We were able to be respectful and productive but still had fun with each other.

It’s no secret my relationship with Stan and tarik was absolutely horrendous. I don’t know what I could trust from them in multiple 1on1s nor did I agree with how we were changing the team strategically when we were all discussing what direction we needed to take to improve our consistency.”

He continued:

“There was a lot of hypocrisy on the team on certain cultural beliefs and views on the game. Opinions were literally changing everyday to a point where we weren’t even anti stratting T sides anymore after a certain tournament which I will never agree with ever again. I had my changes I wanted to do and ultimately they didn’t happen and here we are now.

Anyways, there is definitely a lot more I can say but I will choose to keep it behind closed doors for now. I am open to offers from any teams from any region. I know I work hard and I can make significant improvements in any team I join. You can contact me via open dm on twitter or Appreciate the support and stay safe everyone.”

Tarik said:

“Decisions like this aren’t easy to make but everyone can be sure it’s always made as a team, and is based on the betterment of the team. Nonetheless, we had some great times with Chet and I wish him the best of luck moving forward.”

Ethan wrote:

“No doubt you’ll get a new team soon. Thank you for all the memories, being my only real coach in my whole career, its gonna be weird not having you. Thanks for everything brotha”
