Peter Jarguz, known as “Stanislaw,” is a 27-year-old Canadian CS:GO player who has been playing under Evil Geniuses jersey for over two years. Before that, he had played for NRG Esports, Team Liquid, and more.

Last month, the organization announced that Stanislaw will be taking a break due to personal reasons, and their coach Damian “daps” Steele will be standing in for the in-game leader until the major comes.

During this period, Evil Geniuses competed at BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021 and ESL Pro League Season 14 while Daps was leading the roster. After the tournament ends, Stanislaw spoke in a recent interview with hltv.org.

In the conversation, Stanislaw reflected on his decision to take a break from the game and pointed out that there had been lots of going on in his personal life, and revealed that he was not a good shape in terms of mental health.

Furthermore, the in-game leader mentioned that he wouldn’t perform at his best if he wanted to compete and that’s why he decided to step back from the roster until he solves all of his problems in his personal life.

Stanislaw talked about his decision to take a break in the interview:

“I don’t know if it being worth it is the right phrase, but it was definitely necessary. I have a lot of things going on in my personal life — or I had, at least — and I was not anywhere near being in a good mental space. I just felt like if I were to play, I wouldn’t be able to perform at my best.

I just talked to my team about it and they agreed that it would be okay for me to take a break now, and we’d just focus on the Major.”

Later in the interview, Stanislaw also talked about how they have been preparing for the upcoming major and stated that they are doing their best in North America, but it wouldn’t great as it was in the Europe.
