24-year-old American CS:GO player Nicholas Cannella, known as “nitr0,” had been playing under Team Liquid jersey for over five years. On August 1, 2020, he announced his departure from the roster.

After a week, nitr0 took to his official Instagram account to farewell to his former teammates by writing a touching letter and made everybody shred in tears.

In the caption, nitr0 said goodbye one by one to every player and revealed his feelings by saying that he is going to miss travel with the roster and hoped that they could continue to look after each other as they do before he left.

While praising their talents and character, nitr0 also said that it was an honor to play alongside them and hoped the best for his long-time friends. In this way, he showed his gratitude to Team Liquid and proved that this was a hard decision to make.

Here is what nitr0 wrote:

“I wasn’t going to write anything long, but here we are…

Jon, you’ve been an incredible teammate over the past 5 years and I’ve learned so much from you, not only as a person, but as a teammate and it’s been amazing watching you grow up and become one of the best players in the whole entire world, who would have thought, seriously.

Russell, you’ve been an amazing teammate and person since we’ve picked you up and your aim is incredible and I’ll always say you have the best aim in the world. It’s been so awesome seeing such a mechanically gifted player become one of the best out there. I’m gonna miss working out with you and Jon, we learned a lot together not only in the game, but outside of it as well.”

He continued:

“Keith, you’ve been the person who was always the wild card on the team, but the truth is I’ve been knowing you the longest out of my whole entire CS career and it’s been awesome seeing you go thru all the different teams and then finally cement yourself on a team and achieve greatness with us. I’m gonna miss your troll ass and your insane memory of literally the most random stuff ever.

Jake, you were definitely the best pickup we could’ve made in 2019 and you were the missing piece we needed to really achieve our dreams. You are the hardest worker along with Jon I have ever met, and you’re a great leader and you’re going to continue being great. We grew a close relationship on the team and it’s one I’ll cherish.”

nitr0 added:

“I’m gonna miss traveling the world with you guys, it was an honor. We always looked out for each other and I hope you guys continue to do that and stay close. Shoutout to Joka for being the person who made you laugh no matter how pissed you were, you were truly the best manager we could’ve asked for.

You’re a clown, my brother. And Eric, been knowing you forever, you opened up the opportunity to join Liquid and I’ll be forever grateful. You’ve always been an amazing teammate and you’re probably the person Jon and I learned from the most so I can honestly say we wouldn’t be here without you man.

Gonna miss you all ❤️”
