Two of the most iconic players in the Rainbow Six Siege history, who are widely considered as the best duo, Fabian “Fabian” Hällsten and Niclas “Pengu” Mouritzen reunited again thanks to the new project of Fabian.

The dynamic duo dominated the scene between 2016 and 2019, and they were two of the key members of this success. They have won many Six Invitationals and Pro League Finals during these years.

However, things started to fall apart in mid-2019, and the roster couldn’t deliver the results as everybody wanted. Therefore, Fabian got benched in March 2020 and transferred to Team Vitality after three months.

On the other hand, Pengu also decided to step down from the scene and shocked the whole community by announcing his retirement from the professional Rainbow Six Siege esports scene at the age of 23 in March 2021.

G2 Esports was the most dominant team back in the days.

At the same time, Fabian was benched by the Team Vitality, and he left the roster as of yesterday. Immediately after the announcement, Fabian revealed that he created a new project named Delta Project.

The roster will consist of Marc “Jume” Steinmann, Fynn “Drvn” Lorenzen, Niklas “KS” Massierer, and Fabian “Fabian” Hällsten. Also, the fifth player is yet to be announced. Daniel “Ferral” Rotheram will be the coach of the roster, and Jack “Fresh” Thomas Allen will be the analyst.

However, due to the contract of Jume with his team 4Elements Esports, he won’t be playing with Delta Project until next season. Therefore, Pengu will be standing in for him and play alongside Fabian yet again.

Furthermore, Pengu pointed out that he could be getting trial by Delta Project if they wanted to add him as a fifth player, but there is nothing certain for his return to the professional scene right now.

“I’m only playing as a sub,” Pengu talked about his possible return. “Maybe after playing for a bit and being trialed they will consider me for the fifth position, but for now: Time to grind & prove my worth.”

Delta Project is now:

  • Marc “Jume” Steinmann
  • Fynn “Drvn” Lorenzen
  • Niklas “KS” Massierer
  • Fabian “Fabian” Hällsten
  • Niclas “Pengu” Mouritzen (stand-in)
  • Daniel “Ferral” Rotheram (strategic coach)
  • Jack “Fresh” Thomas (analyst)
