Finn “karrigan” Andersen is a 31-year-old Danish player who had played for teams like FaZe Clan, Team Envy, Mousesports, and many more in the past. In February 2021, he re-joined FaZe Clan.

FaZe Clan had been trying to rebuild the roster with the additions of Marcelo “coldzera” David, Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye, and Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken but things didn’t work out for them.

Kjaerbye left the team last year after the summer, and recently Cold parted ways with the organization as his contract ended. Therefore, Olof “Olofmeister” Kajbjer Gustafsson returned back to the squad once again.

Before the first LAN event goes live, IEM Cologne 2021, the players answered the questions of the media personalities. One of the questions was about bringing back Olofmesiter to the team, and Karrigan revealed why it was important to see him on the team.

The Danish in-game leader mentioned that there were clashes about the roles while Coldzera was playing for the team and revealed that Olofmeister was the first player he talked to because he knew how a good player Olof was.

Moreover, Karrigan pointed out one of the unknown abilities that Olof has and said that he makes everybody else great on the server. According to Karrigan, Olofmeister is calm and communicates really well, as well as helping him to fix the problems inside the team.

Wu Li Zonda asked:

“What does olof bring to this lineup?”

Karrigan replied:

“Obviously, losing cold is tough for us because he is one set role in the team, and looking at the lineup back then, cold was set to be the passive lurk and it all made sense from the outside from individual roles.

But after being in the team, some role clashes were there with that lineup, so when cold went out of the team, olof was obviously a player I talked to because I know what he brings to the team, I know what way he thinks and what he does for teammates.

One thing about olofmeister people probably don’t know so much about is that he makes everybody else great. Everything he does on the server is one-to-one with how you want to play classic CS. He’s calm, he communicates really well, and bringing him also makes me see how we can try to fix some of the role clashes we had on the team.”

He continued:

“I think that helps from what I’ve seen in practice, but obviously we need to show it in results. Also, having a motivated olof is a really good thing. He’s really motivated and hungry to come back, and I’m just looking forward to playing this tournament with him because he’s a really, really good player.

You label him as a glue player, not a support player, I hate that word, but a glue player that keeps the pieces together in the tight games, and I think that’s what we need.”

Further in the conversation, Karrigan also talked about how playing in a LAN tournaments makes him feel and tried to explain how the online era hurt the teams due to the lack of bootcamps because of the restrictions.
