Elias Lipp, known as “Upset,” is a 21-year-old German League Of Legends player who has been playing under Fnatic jersey for over ten months. Previously, he was playing for Astralis and Origen.

Fnatic struggled to perform in LEC Spring 2021 as they finished in 5th place. Fortunately, they managed to reach the finals of LEC Summer 2021 and found a ticket for League Of Legends World Championship 2021.

While everybody was keeping an eye on the roster, Fnatic announced on their official Twitter account that their ADC player Upset won’t be playing in their debut match versus Hanwha Life Esports at Worlds.

Furthermore, the organization revealed that Upset had to return back his home due to a family matter, and he won’t be competing at the Worlds group stage until further notice, which means that Upset might miss the first international tournament he qualified for.

Later in the announcement, Fnatic stated that their academy player Louis “Bean” Schmitz will be standing in for Upset during this period. Bean started to play for Fnatic Rising in December 2020, joining from BIG.

Here is the official announcement from Fnatic:

Following an urgent family matter, Upset is forced to return to home and will until further notice not start for our team in the group stage. We ask that his privacy be respected.

Louis “Bean” Schmitz has been preparing with our team the last few weeks in Reykjavik, and will make his debut as a starter in our Worlds opener vs HLE.

We urge the community to focus on the incoming competition where we will do our utmost to represent Europe in our 9th Worlds Tournament.”
