Mathieu Quiquerez, known as “Maniac,” is a 29-year-old Swiss former CS:GO player who had played for teams like Team LDLC, Titan, Rogue and many more. Currently, he is a freelance analyst for the tournaments.

After coronavirus spread all around the world, almost every country cancelled the events, sports, and meetings. Currently, over 60K cases have been confirmed and even ESL Pro League is now playing online due to this virus.

However, Esports can be playable online and Maniac mentioned this fact on his Twitter account. He said that this is why we should feel appreciated as a gamer and players. Also, he stated that we are actually lucky compared to other people about this topic.

Here is what Maniac said:

“Let’s appreciate the fact that, luckily, our beloved esports can be played and spectated online too. Let’s watch all the broadcasts, all day every day. The show will go on. Hopefully one day this whole period might just be a fainted memory…

I realize lots of people have their livelihood put at risk, or very uncertain, I’d include myself. This sucks. Yet there isn’t much we can do but accept and try to make the best out of it.”
