Cédric Guipouy, known as “RpK,” is a 32-year-old French CS:GO player who had been representing Team Vitality for over two years. Before that, he was playing for Team Envy and G2 Esports.

RpK was benched in Team Vitality in April 2021 following the unexpected results from the tournaments, and young blood Jayson “Kyojin” Nguyen Van was added into the squad in hopes of bringing firepower.

Since then RpK was an inactive player inside Team Vitality, and the community didn’t hear much about him until yesterday. On Twitter, RpK bid farewell to his long-time teammates as well as the organization.

While RpK was pointing out that they started a beautiful journey with Team Vitality in 2018 that lead their way to the top, he also mentioned that the team and organization become a family for him.

RpK thanked Team Vitality for everything they have done for him and showed his gratitude. Afterward, Team Vitality also sent a goodbye message to their former veteran player who was one of the most consistent players in the roster.

RpK wrote:

“In 2018, we started what was a beautiful journey with Team Vitality.

We started from 0 with one goal: reach Top 1! It wasn’t just a team, it was family that grew & grinded this crazy adventure together, lifting trophies along the way. Thank you all for supporting my journey.”
