Yuri Santos, known as “yuurih,” is a 20-year-old Brazilian CS:GO player who has been playing under Furia Esports jersey for over two and a half years. In his career, he earned over $140.000 from the events.

yuurih spoke in the interview with hltv.org and revealed his opinion about the upcoming Major that sets to be played in Brazil.

In the talk, yuurih saddened the Brazilian community by saying that Brazil’s chance to host a Major is really low because of the coronavirus outbreak. He stated that even though it is the biggest dream of Brazilian players, it won’t be happening due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Here is what yuurih said:

“Sometimes, I ask my parents how things are going in Brazil, and they say that it’s still pretty ugly.

Here in Miami, businesses were opening, but then the number of cases began to spike and they had to close again. If things are ugly here, in Brazil it’s much worse, right?”

He continued:

“I think it’s very unlikely that Brazil hosts a Major this year, I think it will take some time for this situation to be fixed. We still hope that there will be a Major in Brazil, perhaps without spectators, I don’t know… This is every Brazilian player’s dream, and unfortunately coronavirus happened.”
