One of the legendary teams in the Rainbow Six Siege scene, G2 Esports, had been dominating the scene in 2018. Before that, the core of this roster was playing for PENTA and they also dominated the scene in 2017.

The iconic member of the team, Fabian “Fabian” Hällsten had been playing for the G2 Esports jersey since August 2018 and he earned over $300.000 from the tournaments. Also, he was one of the main reasons for the success of the team.

Yesterday, G2 Esports has announced that they part ways with Fabian and released the loaned player Ferenc “SirBoss” Mérész and they added former Natus Vincere player Ben “CTZN” McMillan and Fnatic player Jake “Virtue” Grannan.

Here is what Fabian said:

“I and the team decided to do splits I love them a lot, we achieved so much together, I asked to be transferred after we went out in Montreal, they agreed it was the best move for us all, I wish you the best. What a journey we had right boys? @G2Pengu @G2UUNO @G2Kantoraketti”

Pengu replied:

“We built a fucking legacy Fabian, something that is unlikely for ANY team to ever replicate. We made a roster out of nothing but passion and reached the stars, you know how proud I am of what we have achieved together through good and bad – I wish you nothing but success.”

Fabian replied:

“Nobody will ever come close, 3 majors, 3 pls? Come at us bitches. Love you my brother we fucking did the impossible.”

Virtue on joining the team:

“This is a big chance and dream come true for me, I’ve worked towards joining G2 since I started playing R6. I couldn’t see myself end up on any other team, and I cant wait to get to work with this insane team we have formed. #G2ARMY”

Here is what CTZN said:

“Finally able to say I have joined G2! What was once a dream has now become a reality, only one question stands… Who’s gonna play thermite? #G2ARMY”
