34-year-old Polish Fortnite player Jakub Szygulski, known as “Lothar” has been representing G2 Esports since August 2018. On 16 November, he announced that he will be no longer a competitive Fortnite player and he will be playing Teamfight Tactics for G2 Esports.

Lothar said:

“Fortnite, some time ago actually. I’m sure you guys figured out, since I wasn’t streaming it for a really long time. At the end of season 10 I was really fed up with the game and the approach of the developers to its competitive side (or the lack of it) and that the same time I realised that I didnt want to play trios/squads in competitive settings, which seems to be the focus for Fortnite.”

He continued:

“So whats next for me? Fortunately, RIOT just decided to drop games that perfectly fit me and my stream. Teamfight Tactics became my main game in the past months, I will be focusing on being a competitive player and a caster for it. I deeply enjoy the game and the approach of RIOTs developers is amazing. They are passionate, competent and I really feel that they care about the game and its community. Its a very refreshing feeling (I look at you EPIC and Blizzard).
Legends of Runeterra is another game that I enjoy and will be added to my stream schedule (the draft system is really amazing in it).”

Lothar added:

“I am also looking forward to Project A and the Esports Manager that rito will release in the future 😀 Two last things I wanted to add, I can’t express how important is all the support you guys and girls give me by watching my stream, subbing, commenting, you rock. This wouldnt be possible without you. And all of this wouldnt be possible without G2 Esports and CarlosR. Im in G2 for over 4 years now and I can’t express enough how amazing is to see that G2 is supporting my decisions, when sometimes they might be a leap of faith.”
