Valorant esports teams have been competing in one of the biggest and second LAN tournaments in Valorant esports history, VCT Masters Berlin, and yesterday, one of the most wondered matchups played in the tournaments.

One of the greatest organizations who dominated the scene in the first year, G2 Esports, faced North America’s finest team Sentinels in the group stage. Even though it was in the group stage, the viewership peaked at over 700K people.

Before the match, G2 Esports roasted Sentinels by hiring a plane that carries a sign that says ‘F*ck You Sentinels,’ and heated things up between the organizations as they were going to face each other in hours.

Unfortunately for the European side, Sentinels managed to edge through them with 2-1 scores, which means that the North American side got their first map loss in the LAN events in their history.

After the match, G2 Esports was slammed by both Sentinels and their fan base following their huge trash talk, but the players never got involved with any kind of drama with the organization.

As always, Tyson “TenZ” Ngo shined up on the Sentinels side overall, but the performances of Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan and Jared “zombs” Gitlin was eye-cathing. On the other hand, Žygimantas “nukkye” Chmieliauskas and Cista “keloqz” Wassim efforts weren’t enough for G2 Esports.

Both of these teams will face each other on September 15 once again after playing against the South Korean team F4Q in Group D tomorrow. Although they will most likely qualify for the playoffs, the matches will define who will be going from the first seed.
