G2 Esports is one of the biggest esports organizations in the world that has been competing in many games such as CS:GO, Valorant, League Of Legends, and many more. Also, they had been dominating the Rainbow Six Siege scene as well.

For around two years, G2 Esports was the best team in the Rainbow Six Siege scene. However, the organization had been struggling to perform since 2020, even though they showed a glimpse of performance from the good old days in some of the tournaments.

Therefore, the organization decided to bench 22-year-old player Juhani “Kantoraketti” Toivonen and 26-year-old player Aleksi “UUNO” Työppönen from the roster in June as they bring Lucas “Hungry” Reich and Jonas “Jonka” Kaczmarzyk.

Since then, the both of the Finnish players had been inactive under G2 Esports jersey. Yesterday, the European organization announced on Twitter that they have parted ways with both Kantoraketti and UUNO.

Furthermore, Kantoraketti pointed out that he had lots of great memories with G2 Esports in three years and thanked everybody who supported him during this period. Then, he stated that G2 Esports is a amazing organization to be a part of.

Here is the official announcement from G2 Esports:

“We today announce the departure of Kanto and UUNO. Thanks for the fantastic memories.”

Kantoraketti farewelled to G2:

“So yeah my time in G2 is now over, Thanks to G2 for the 3 years we spent working together, so many good memories and thanks for all the support through out. Amazing org to be part of.”
