22-year-old Danish Rainbow Six Siege player Niclas “Pengu” Mouritzen had played for PENTA Esports between 2016 and 2018. Since August 2018, he has been representing G2 Esports. On 9 October, he compared the Apex Legends and Rainbow Six Siege.

Pengu said:

“I rarely play other games in long sessions at a time other than siege, but last night I did 8 hours of Apex Legends in a row. and I then went into siege and I REALLY noticed how much down-time there is, how do people feel about it? picks, drones, prep, run to building yada yada”

Pengu continued:

“Do people mind having to wait 2-4 minutes before even shooting/turning if you died early the round prior? getting spawn-peeked, or is it okay because it fits siege? I havent noticed it that badly myself till now due to a change of gameplay”

He added:

“I think one of my biggest issues are actually that there are SO many angles that are near IMPOSSIBLE to challenge in a soloqueue/1v1 scenario, once the enemy has a certain area, youre just forced to sit in a 4×4 corner and wait for them to push, the nature of the game, yes. But very few other games have it so severe IMO”
