Niclas Mouritzen, known as “Pengu,” is a 22-year-old Danish Rainbow Six Siege player who has been playing under G2 Esports jersey for over two years. In his career, he earned over $300.000 from the events.

Pengu took to his official Twitter account to share a new post and revealed his opinion about how to balance the current meta.

In the tweets, Pengu mentioned that the operators like Wamai and Smoke have deployable shields even though they have great gadgets for defenders and said that Ubisoft should remove shields from these strong operators.

Pengu stated that Ubisoft should give deployable shields to the odd operators like Ela, Alibi, and more, so if the teams wanted to run shields in their setups, the meta won’t be so disturbing as it is right now.

Here is what Pengu wrote:

“I’d highly suggest that we move shields away from Wamai and Smoke, maybe even Valkyrie,so if people Wanna bring bunch of shields they have to come from ‘odd’ operators. Alibi/Ela are good examples. Wamai + Smoke + Goyo are all good meta picks and you get 4 shields.

If the shield meta should be a thing lets make it like the Glaz/Ying meta. highly operator dependant. If you wanted more smokes for glaz you had to pick Fuze/Jackal/shields/Dokkeabi etc. Lets do the same for shields. Rather than it being an indirect meta effect from good operators.

Make people consciously choose to go for shield meta, rather than giving it indirectly through some of the strongest defending operators. How does smoke have a shotgun, smg11 super important gadget and a shield? Why does wamai have a shield + nade deny?”

He continued:

“Bandit/Kaid should not have impacts for the sole reason that their primary gadget also denies (Kaid used to, it then got removed). Wamai has shield + he can protect it, why not follow the same logic as Kaid?

I’ve been saying this on stream ever since wamai came out. its time to bring it to Twitter.”
