Niclas “Pengu” Mouritzen is a Danish Rainbow Six Siege player who is currently playing for G2 Esports since Agust 2018. On 9 July, 21-year-old player replied to Team Secret player Ferral and said that skins should be banned in the competitive scene. He mentioned that skins might be beneficial for some circumstances like don’t know which operator you killed or invisibility etc.

Ferral said:

“All skins should be banned in comp at this point, there is so many skins that are very close to wind bastion and you cant tell who you are killing half the time. Only skins that should be allowed are PL skins and Pilot Program skins”

Pengu said:

“Give us a default only option for custom games ( worst case make it client-sided so its optionable ) fairplay and consistency is SUPER important, and the current skin selection breaks that deeply, its rare that I recognize who I am killing/calling out”

Pengu added:

“I understand skins are for sales, but they dont have ANY place in comp play, it ruins the competitive integrity, Proleague skins are welcomed as they are 1 operator and its usually non beneficial colors as they are colorful and not bland & it is a part of the league itself”
