Gen.G’s Bdd Is Impressed By Canyon’s Mid Lane Performance So Far

Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong is a 22-year-old South Korean League Of Legends player who has been performing in the mid lane under Gen.G Esports since November 2019. Previously, he was playing for KT Rolster.

As you might already know, DAMWON Gaming has been struggling to find success in the bot lane, and it has been the only lane that they are lacking for the past few years. And recently, they lost MSI 2021 because of that.

Therefore, the organization decided to switch the roles inside the team in week 2 of LCK, and their midlane Heo “ShowMaker” Su played as the AD carry of the team while their jungler Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu switched to the mid lane.

After Gen.G Esports’ match against Fredit BRION, Bdd spoke in the post-match interview with the LCK hosts and talked about their performances as well as their upcoming match against DAMWON Gaming.

In the conversation, interviewer asked Bdd which player he would like to face between Showmaker and Canyon in the next week, and Bdd mentioned that he wants to play against Canyon because he has played against Showmaker so many times before.

Furthermore, Bdd also praised the talent of Canyon. He pointed out that it could have been really difficult to play a different role in the official matches, but Canyon didn’t feel pressured at all, which is pretty impressive for Bdd.

Interviewer asked:

“Your next opponent is DWG KIA. There’s Canyon and ShowMaker — which one do you want to face in mid lane?”

Bdd replied:

“When I saw Canyon play Akali, I thought it was cute. Since I played against ShowMaker many times, I want to face Canyon. It seemed that Canyon didn’t feel any pressure playing mid lane.

It would be quite difficult playing in a different position in official games, but Canyon didn’t seem pressured at all. That was impressive.”

Later in the conversation, Bdd also was asked which role he wanted to play if he would leave the mid lane, and the talented player said that it would be a support role because he is good at helping others.
