Golden Guardians is a North American organization that created by the NBA team Golden State Warriors back in 2017. In the next year, they took a slot in LCS and debut at NA LCS Spring 2018.

Unfortunately, the roster of the Golden Guardians wasn’t good enough for the results and they were the last team on board in 2018. However, they wanted to build a promising roster in the next seasons.

Because of that, they rebuilt their roster in late 2019 and had such great games in both LCS Spring and Summer 2020. But, the roster is bought up by 100 Thieves at the end of 2020, and Golden Guardians struggled to perform in 2021.

Yesterday, Golden Guardians announced their brand new lineup featuring the core players, which are Nicholas “Ablazeolive” Antonio, Ethan “Ic0nic” Wilkinson, and Trevor “Stixxay” Hayes.

Furthermore, the North American organization revealed their brand new experienced top laner, Colin “Solo” Earnest, and support player Johnathan “Chime” Pomponio, who promoted from the academy roster.

Here is the official announcement from Golden Guardians:

“Your Summer 2021 GG Starting LCS Roster. Join us in welcoming and congratulating Chime, who has been promoted to our starting roster following an academy split full of growth and development, alongside Solo, who will also be starting headed into Summer.”

Golden Guardians is now:

  • Nicholas “Ablazeolive” Antonio
  • Ethan “Ic0nic” Wilkinson
  • Trevor “Stixxay” Hayes
  • Colin “Solo” Earnest
  • Johnathan “Chime” Pomponio
