23-year-old American League Of Legends player Greyson Gilmer, known as “Goldenglue,” had been playing for Golden Guardians since November 2019. Earlier of this month, the organization decided to bench him.

Goldenglue shared a new post on his official Twitter account and made a new statement that he decided to leave the roster.

He stated that he is an LCS mid laner and not deserve to play in the academy league. Furthermore, Goldenglue said that he is looking for the options to prove himself, and he will be grinding during this time.

Here is what Goldenglue said:

“First off I just want to thank everyone for the outpour of support I have received in the past couple weeks and Golden Guardians for helping me explore my options. I was devastated when I found out I wouldn’t be starting and I still 100% believe I am an LCS tier mid.

Although my current situation is far from ideal I have never let bumps in the road deter me in the past and I don’t plan to start now. I am currently looking to find a team to compete with and in the meanwhile will be grinding out soloq and looking for other opportunities to grow myself both as a person and a player.”

Evil Geniuses player Bang replied:

“I’m supporting you, you deserve more.”

Cloud9 player Mateus replied:

“I’m cheering for you Greyson.”
