Tarik “tarik” Celik is a 24-year-old American/Turkish CS:GO player who has been playing under Evil Geniuses jersey for over one year. Before that, he had played for teams like MIBR, Cloud9, NRG Esports, and more.

Following the bad results in late 2019, Evil Geniuses also couldn’t get any victory after the player break and couldn’t use to the online era of Counter-Strike afterward.

The year started with BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 Regular Season for Evil Geniuses, but they got eliminated in the semifinals of the group stage. After two weeks, Intel Extreme Masters XIV – World Championship had started.

In the tournaments, they beat up MAD Lions and matched up against Team Liquid. They lost the series against Liquid and eliminated in the losers bracket against 100 Thieves. After a month, it seemed like they find solutions for some of the problems for the next tournament.

Evil Geniuses seemed much stronger rather than the start of the year at the ESL Pro League Season 11: North America, and they reached the finals. However, they lost the trophy to another North American organization, Team Liquid, with 0-3 map points.

Following these results, Evil Geniuses decided to remove Chet “ImAPet” Singh and add Wilton “zews” Prado to the roster. But, zews’ addition couldn’t make an impact suddenly. They couldn’t reach the semifinals of ESL One: Road to Rio – North America and DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: North America.

Later on, they improved their gameplay and won BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 American Finals against MIBR, closing the series with 2-0. While some of the people were thinking that this was only a one-time for EG, they proved their talent in the upcoming tournaments.

They won both cs_summit 6 Online: North America and ESL One: Cologne 2020 Online – North America back to back and got 3 big trophies in 3 months. In this way, they showed the world what they are capable of.

After the late results from the tournaments, Tarik’s bank account rose quickly and made them forget about the failures at the start of the year. So far, Tarik earned $69.100 from the ten tournaments that he attended with Evil Geniuses.
