We had a chance to chat with the content creator for eRa Eternity and also a Twitch streamer, Hylia Fawkes, and we spoke about her streaming career, future goals, as well as her joining process to eRa Eternity.

Gaimer:

“Hello, Hylia. Could you please introduce yourself? We would love to know more about you.”

Hylia Fawkes:

“Hello! My name is Hylia Fawkes and I am an Australian tattoo model and gaming content creator! I enjoy creating content in both ways and especially take a huge passion for gaming as a career and hobby! I am 27 years old and grew up in Australia and still live here.

I enjoy attending cosplay/gaming conventions overseas and working with brands online and at conventions for gaming. I am mainly known for my gaming tattoos which are shown in my modeling but also my Call of Duty skills I display on Twitch and clips I post on social media.”

Gaimer:

“There are lots of stories behind the big streamers as we all know. Could you tell us about your story, how did you start your streaming career?”

Hylia Fawkes:

“I started streaming quite a few years ago I had a previous Twitch channel that I got up to 8k followers maybe about 7 years ago. I ended up creating a new channel (the one I have now) because they didn’t allow name change back then. I started streaming all sorts of games from Call of Duty to Tomb Raider, Overwatch, some JRPG’s and telltale games.”

Gaimer:

“You joined eRa Eternity’s content creator team in October if I’m not wrong. How did you feel when you got the offer from the organization, and how is it going with eRa so far?”

Hylia Fawkes:

“I was very excited! And still am quite excited that I was asked to join the team, it’s going really well and I look forward to sticking with eRa for quite some time!”

Gaimer:

“Some of the streamers are playing lots of games during their streams, and some of them just playing one game to create their own community. As far as I know, you are known for your content in Call Of Duty, do you play other games as well on stream?”

Hylia Fawkes:

“At first I was mainly known as an Overwatch streamer, I was a mad Junkrat player! But as the game had updates and changes I ended up finding the game unenjoyable and ended up just strictly playing Call of Duty.”

Gaimer:

“How did you end up playing Call Of Duty? Is it because the game becomes more popular recently, or were you playing the game back in the days?”

Hylia Fawkes:

“After evolving from old school games my mother ended up buying a PS3 which is where I first started playing Resistance Fall of Man which is where my main love for shooters came from, I was so addicted to this game! And after that was when I played my first ever Call of Duty game MW2! And haven’t missed a COD game since!”

Gaimer:

“What is the most unique feature about Call Of Duty?”

Hylia Fawkes:

“The ones where you can actually enjoy quick scoping! It’s quite the skill to some people and can make a team rage!”

Gaimer:

“What is the most frustrating thing about Call Of Duty?”

Hylia Fawkes:

“Riot shields, I am unsure why they even exist in a shooter but nothing a good old thermite can’t destroy!”

Gaimer:

“Even though the other battle royale games like PUBG and Apex Legends lost their players since their release, Call Of Duty: Warzone become the most consistent one and continuing to grow. What could be the reason behind that?”

Hylia Fawkes:

“Call Of Duty has always had a huge audience since the beginning of time so I’d say it’s probably from that and streamers grinding it every day!”

Gaimer:

“Do you think that Call Of Duty: Warzone will remain on the top?”

Hylia Fawkes:

“I am not too sure, I think eventually people will get bored of it and need new maps to play and such they will most likely come out with a new battle royale once it drops in players.”

Gaimer:

“There is no doubt that the streaming world provides lots of money for the creators, and most people think that content creators are doing this just because of the money. What do you think about that, is streaming only about the money for you?”

Hylia Fawkes:

“I actually don’t look at streaming and gaming as a moneymaker, I like to enjoy gaming for fun so I don’t create goals or anything like that when I stream I just prefer to use it as a socializing tool with my fans!”

Gaimer:

“How much time do you spend during the day for content creation besides your streams? Could you share with us what you are doing to warm up?

Hylia Fawkes:

“Maybe a few hours each day just playing offline to collect clips for social media or doing some modeling work.”

Gaimer:

“Some people say that esports and content creation will not be a permanent profession in the future, and some say just the opposite. Do you think streaming will become a long-living business in the future?”

Hylia Fawkes:

“With the way, it’s going at the moment yes it can definitely be a permanent profession! But it takes a lot of skill and entertaining to get up there, just need time and patience to make it work.”

Gaimer:

“Let’s talk about your future career. What is your goal as a streamer right now and will you stay as a streamer in the future?

Hylia Fawkes:

“I’d say so yes! I’ll always be streaming from time to time as I do enjoy it a lot.”

Gaimer:

“Would you like to give a few tips for the upcoming streamers about how they can increase their viewership, what would you suggest to them?”

Hylia Fawkes:

“Just be consistent and entertaining, be funny and enthusiastic, and don’t give up!”

Gaimer:

“Thank you for your precious time. Finally, do you have anything to add?”

Hylia Fawkes:

“No, I think that was pretty good thank you for the questionnaire!”

While saying goodbye to Hylia at the end of the interview, we also thank Hylia for her precious time and thank Jordan Daley for making this interview possible.
