Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke is a 24-year-old Danish CS:GO player who has been representing Complexity Gaming for over one and a half years. Before that, he had played for teams like Optic Gaming, North, and more.

Yesterday, Complexity Gaming announced on social media that k0nfig won’t be participating in official matches for a while due to a wrist injury, and they will be playing with a stand-in during this period.

Recently, the experienced Danish player took his official Twitter account to explain what actually happens and revealed that he actually broke his right-hand wrist and this is why he won’t be playing in further days.

As k0nfig said, he fell after slipping on water and slammed his hand. Even though he did see a doctor in Serbia, they couldn’t notice the shattered wrist. However, when he went to see a doctor yesterday and they almost put him under surgery due to his broken wrist.

Fortunately enough, k0nfing found a specialist who would take over the surgery, which will be happening today. According to k0nfig, he can not remove the cast before four weeks, which means that he can not play for Complexity until October.

k0nfig explained his injury:

“My wrist is broken and dislocated. I will have a surgery tomorrow morning at 07:30. A specialist will do the surgery and i will have to wear a cast for about 4-6 weeks and then some training to get back on track. I love you all, and I’m sorry. I wish I could turn back time.

This have really affected me and I feel awful just to talk about it, but lets pray for a good surgery and swift recovery. I do not wish this for my worst enemy.

Today have been the most hectic day ever. Went to see doctor about it this morning to almost getting emergency surgery a few hours later really turns your stomach and makes you sweat. I’m glad a specialist takes the task tomorrow.”

He continued:

“I was walking and looked at my phone in an airport and slipped in water on the floor, fell and slammed my hand into a handrail which caused the wrist to shatter. Absolutely sounds like a lie and I can’t believe that it even is reality.

I went to Serbia and got it checked but they didn’t notice the shattered wrist, so I still played a few practices with the team. Still managed to dominate some teams with a broken wrist by the way… The right hand of course. F*cking unreal.”
