Finn Andersen, known as “Karrigan,” is a 31-year-old Danish CS:GO player who has been representing FaZe Clan for over eight months. Before that, he had played for Mousesports, FaZe Clan, and Astralis.

During the last CS:GO update, Valve brought the new Dust 2 design where they put a giant wall on top of the Dark area to prevent T’s to see through mid doors at the start of the round. Besides that, they also introduced droppable grenades into the competitive game mode and buffed M4A1-S damage.

Karrigan claimed that these changes made Dust 2 a completely different map and shared his opinion about the current state of Dust 2 by sharing a new post on his official Twitter account.

In the post, the experienced in-game leader pointed out that the new design of Dust 2 prevented T’s to execute fast short takes and made CT’s to play super aggressive especially at the beginning of the rounds.

Furthermore, Karrigan touched upon the buffed M4A1-S and having extra utilities for the rotation players, saying that Dust 2 will be the most CT-sided maps in the Counter-Strike right now in the current meta.

Later on, Team Vitality player Richard “shox” Papillon also agreed with Karrigan and mentioned that Dust 2 needs a total rework because it is the most unbalanced and worst map in the map pool.

“I loved Dust 2 since the beginning but I have to admit today, it needs a total rework.” the veteran French player express his feelings about the new Dust 2. “The mid update made the map worse, unbalanced and not smart to play.”

Karrigan on the new Dust 2:

“The perfect storm on dust2, removed fast short takes from Ts, made it easier for CTs to play super aggressive, buffed silencer and made it possible to have a lot of extra grenades as fast rotation. This is gonna be one of the most CT-sided maps in the pool this year.”
