Mathias Sommer Lauridsen, known as “MSL,” is a 26-year-old Danish CS:GO player who is one of the best in-game leaders of the country. In his career, he played for teams like Optic Gaming, North, and more.

After North announced their departure from the esports scene earlier this year, MSL had been looking for an organization to play. Through June, MSL announced that he decided to create his own team instead of joining one.

Yesterday, MSL announced via Twitter that their new team is named ‘South,’ and they are looking for an organization to represent. The team is consist of Jakob “JUGi” Hansen, Philip “aizy” Aistrup Larsen, Jesper “tenzki” Plougmann Mikalski, and Frederik “Fessor” Sørensen.

While MSL was saying that this is the new chapter of his carer, he also pointed out that this is so early for them to compete at the high level. “We are obviously still early in the process,” MSL wrote. “But looking forward to play officials after 9 months away!”

On the other hand, talented AWP player JUGi also pointed out that he is really excited to be back on the practice. “Really excited to be back on a team after being teamless for over a year,” he said. “I feel this is the right fit for me.”

MSL’s new team South is now:

Mathias “MSL” Sommer Lauridsen
Jakob “JUGi” Hansen
Philip “aizy” Aistrup Larsen
Jesper “tenzki” Plougmann Mikalski
Frederik “Fessor” Sørensen
