Mathias Sommer Lauridsen, known as “MSL,” is a 26-year-old CS:GO player who is considered as one of the best Danish in-game leaders in the game. In his career, he had played for teams like North, Optic Gaming, and more.

MSL started to look for an organization once North announced their departure from the esports scene. After over four months, the veteran leader decided to form his own team back in June 2021.

On August 25, MSL announced his brand new team that featuring both young and experienced players such as Jakob “JUGi” Hansen, Philip “aizy” Aistrup Larsen, and Frederik “Fessor” Sørensen.

However, things didn’t work out for the Danish side. Yesterday, South’s Twitter account revealed that they disbanded the roster. “It’s embarrassing and disappointing,” South said. “But we have “decided to part ways after deep talks within the team.”

After a short period, MSL also shared his feelings about this decision and stated that he feels sad and disappointed. Then, he mentioned that all of the players in the South roster have a great potential and wished luck for the future.

MSL on South’s departure from the scene:

“I’m very sad and disappointed about this! I believe all the players have great potential and I wish them the best. I’m open for new offers and I’m searching a stable organisation, where I can build something strong over time. Contact me through DMs or mattienn@sommer-online.dk.”

South roster was including:

Mathias “MSL” Sommer Lauridsen
Jakob “JUGi” Hansen
Philip “aizy” Aistrup Larsen
Jesper “tenzki” Plougmann Mikalski
