On 30 March, Ukrania based Esport Team NaVi announced their new esport director: Andrey “B1ad3” Gorodenskiy. He was on the CS since 2005 and lately he was coaching teams like FlipSid3 Tactics and Gambit Esports.

Yevhen Zolotarov, CEO of NaVi said:

“Esports industry, among many problems has also a staff shortage: people from the industry, for the most part, have a poor understanding of the business component, while people from outside of the industry do not understand esports well enough. Nevertheless, there are exceptions — I see Andrey as such. We have known each other for 19 years: not many people know but I was the captain of his first team and told him what to do on the map. I have long wanted to work with him in NAVI and I am very glad that such an opportunity has appeared.”

“As for the role and tasks of the esports director, essentially it is the main person in the organization in the context of working with teams. This includes personnel and transfer policies, building a system for squad development: determining the schedule of tournaments, bootcamps, searching for contractors / employees for physical and psychological preparation of players, building a club infrastructure, etc.”

“However, Andrey’s main task will be forming a structure for the search and education of the reserve players in key disciplines. In my opinion, esports clubs matured enough to get away from the dependence of the main lineup and build a competition from young, educated and trained in-house players. I believe that Andrey’s competence, skill, and experience will be perfect for these tasks.”

“I am sure that this is good news both for our fans and for the guys who want to be part of NAVI because very soon this opportunity will appear. Andrey will tell more about this in the near future. Welcome cap!”

 Andrey “B1ad3” Gorodenskiy said:

“I am glad to join NaVi, it is one of the best esports organizations in the world. I am sure that we will have fruitful cooperation ahead of us. For me, this is a new challenge: many plans and ideas that we will begin to implement very soon!”
