Egor Vasilev, known as “flamie,” is a 24-year-old Russian CS:GO player who had been playing for Natus Vincere since 2015, and he had been one of the top performers of the CIS roster for years.

Unfortunately, flamie started to fell after 2019 as Natus Vincere started to underperform in the tournaments. In December 2020, NaVi promoted the young talent Valerii “b1t” Vakhovskyi to rotate the spot between him and flamie.

However, b1t managed to earn the spot in April 2020 as NaVi returned back to the five-man roster. Since then, the 24-year-old rifler was sitting on the bench and considering his options for the future.

Yesterday, Natus Vincere announced on the official website that flamie has become a free agent now, and he will also represent NaVi once again with the academy roster at WePlay Academy League Season 2.

“We have made this decision based on the team’s successful results recently and the specifics of the RMR system, which effectively doesn’t allow a sixth player in the roster anymore,” COO of NaVi, Aleksey “xaoc” Kucherov said.

“Taking these factors into consideration, as well as Egor’s contribution to the development of the discipline and the club in general, we have decided to give flamie the status of a free agent, so he doesn’t come across possible restrictions for his further development.”

Natus Vincere also shared a tribute movie for flame via YouTube and bid their farewell to the veteran player who played twelve major tournaments and earned two MVP awards in the tournaments.
