Simon Eliasson, known as “Twist,” is a 26-year-old Swedish CS:GO player who had played for teams like Fnatic, GODSENT, and many more. Since September 2019, he had been playing for Ninjas In Pyjamas.

About two hours ago, Ninjas In Pyjamas made a new announcement on their official website and revealed that they decided to bench Twist and wished him best for the future. Also, they stated that Erik “ztr” Gustafsson, will be standing-in for the next tournament.

Furthermore, Twistz wanted to share his feelings about this decision via Twitter and thanked Ninjas In Pyjamas for everything they have done. Moreover, Twist said that he is still eager to play and compete at the highest level.

Here is the official announcement from Ninjas In Pyjamas:

“As of today, Simon “twist” Eliasson has been moved from our active roster. Since joining the NIP family in September 2019, Simon has been an amazing asset for our CS division; not only as a reliable and skilled teammate ingame but also as a great ambassador for NIP outside the server and an uplifting presence in the team.

While this is a high-profile change, it would be foolish to expect this move to turn around team performance on its own. Standing in for twist in the next tournament is Young Ninja Erik “ztr” Gustafsson, who will make his debut on Thursday against Astralis in BLAST Premier Spring. This is a perfect opportunity to test the status of a project that we believe very strongly in: our talent division.”

Twist said:

I would like to thank NIP Gaming for the time and all my former teammates, going to miss you a lot! For those wondering about the future im still hungry to play and will continue to do so and chase my goals in CS.”
